11.2 Installation requirements
■ The installation room must be dry and free from the risk of frost.
■ The appliance can be installed near (but not in) the living space.
Subject to the structure of the installation room, e.g. sound-
reflecting (tiled) walls or ceilings, additional sound insulation
measures may be required on site to reduce the structure-borne
and air-borne noise.
■ We recommend you never install this device on wooden floors in
attics to prevent the transmission of structure-borne noise.
■ The doors of the installation room should correspond to at least
emission protection category E1. This is usually achieved by fitting
tubular chipboard doors.

■ Provide corresponding installation areas for accessories and expan-
sion vessels on the brine side.
■ Carry out the diffusion-proof thermal insulation on the brine side of
the heat pump installation in accordance with standard practice to
prevent condensation.
■ Due to its heavy total weight, the appliance must be installed on a
separate anti-vibration concrete platform or on the platform for unfin-
ished floors (accessory).
