Scan a Code 39 bar code with a leading character other than a space.

• The scanner issues a hi/lo beep to indicate a good decode and that buffering of the decode data has
occurred.
• The scanner transmits and clears the buffer.
• The scanner signals that the buffer was transmitted with a lo/hi beep.
NOTE The Transmit Buffer contains only a plus (+) character. In order to scan this command, be sure Code 39
length is set to include length 1.

Overfilling Transmission Buffer

The Code 39 buffer holds 200 characters. If the symbol just read results in an overflow of the transmission buffer:
The scanner indicates that the symbol was rejected by issuing three long, high beeps.
No transmission occurs. The data in the buffer is not affected.

Attempt to Transmit an Empty Buffer

If the symbol just read was the Transmit Buffer symbol and the Code 39 buffer is empty:
A short lo/hi/lo beep signals that the buffer is empty.
No transmission occurs.
The buffer remains empty.
