Removal
Relnove the SPU backplane as follows:
1.
Place your fingers on the processor board next to its backplane connector.
2. While holding down on the processor board, pull the SPU backplane out of its processor
board connectors.
Installation
To install the SPU backplane:
1. Place one hand under the processor board beneath the SPU backplane connectors as a
support.
2. Insert the the SPU backplane in its card guide slots with the connectors towards the rear
of the SPU.
3. Connect the SPU backplane into the processor board's backplane connector.
4. Replace the assenlblies listed in the Preliminary Requirements section in reverse order.
ThinLAN Board
Preliminary Requirements
Turn OFF the SPU and remove these items in the order listed:
1.
Power cord.
2. Video and interface cables.
3. DIO-I card.
4. Rear panel.
Removal
1.
Remove the nylon step washer from the ThinLAN BNC connector.
2. Slide the ThinLAN board out of its connector on the processor board.
Do not remove the ThinLAN backplate as it is part of the ThinLAN board.
Installation
When the rear panel is removed, the capacitor-washer may be broken into several pieces. In
this case it must be replaced with a new one during installation.
To install a ThinLAN board:
1.
Install the ThinLAN board in its connector on the processor board.
2. Install the shoulder washer.
3. Install the rear panel.
4. If necessary, replace the capacitor-washer.
5. Install the fiat washer and lock washer.
6. Install the nut on the BNC connector and lightly tighten it.
