Before servicing, check the following:
• Make sure that the power cord is firmly
plugged into a live circuit with the proper
voltage.
• Check for a blown household fuse or circuit
breaker that has tripped.
• Check the connections before replacing a
component. Look for broken or loose wires,
failed terminals, or wires that are not pressed
into their connectors far enough.
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

1. Unplug the clothes vitalizer or disconnect
the power.
2. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.

COMPONENT TESTING

Electrical Shock Hazard
• Check for wire connectors that are not
pressed tightly onto their terminals.
• Resistance tests must be made with the
power cord unplugged from the outlet, and
with the wiring disconnected.
• All tests should be made with a VOM (volt-
ohmmeter) or DVM (digital voltmeter) hav-
ing a sensitivity of 20,000 ohms-per-volt DC
or greater.
WARNING
3. Disconnect the compressor's 2-wire con-
nector from the wiring harness.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the con-
nector pins coming from the compressor.
The meter should indicate approximately
8 to 15 Ω.
5. Disconnect the compressor wires from the
capacitor terminals.
6. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
orange and black compressor wire termi-
