Troubleshooting

Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component,
check the items below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the other components and electrical appliances
being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized
service center or your dealer to carry out any repair work.
Operation
1. The disc comes back out
even when the disc table is
closed
2. Playback is impossible
3. Picture disturbance during
playback
4. When recorded to a VCR
there is disturbance in the
playback picture

Caution: Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by static electricity or other external interference. To restore normal operation,
unplug the AC power cord then plug it in again.

Symptom
÷ The disc is dirty or warped
÷ The disc is not placed properly on the disc table
÷ Region number on disc and player do not match
÷ Condensation has formed inside the player
÷ This player plays the NTSC format only
÷ This player is compatible with MacroVision System copy
÷ This player is compatible with analog copy protect
÷ The selected function does not operate for that disc
mark appears on screen
÷ First stop the disc (press the 7 button), then start
÷ The front-panel EXT CONT jack is connected
÷ The remote control is too far from the player, or the
÷ The batteries are low
÷ A number is input without pressing the FUNCTION
÷ Some TVs that have wireless remote control functions
÷ The digital output setting is set to 96KHz
÷ The connection plugs are not inserted fully into the
