Network Settings – an Overview

About Network Settings

The Network Settings menu lets you specify
the IP, H.323, SIP, SNMP, Quality of Service,
and IEEE802.1.X settings.

IP settings
include protocol settings, IP
assignment (DHCP/Static), Ethernet speed.
DNS settings etc.
H323 Settings.
Lets you specify whether to
use a Gatekeeper, a Call Manger or Direct
H.323 calls and to specify corresponding
settings when used with a Gatekeeper or a Call
Manager.
SIP Settings.
Define whether to enable or
disable incoming and outgoing SIP calls.
SNMP
(Simple Network Management Protocol,
SNMP Ver 1) is used for monitoring and
configuring of different entities in a network.
The system's SNMP Agent responds to
requests from SNMP Managers (a PC program
etc.). SNMP traps are generated by the agent to
inform the manager about important events.
IP Services.
Includes the NTP time server
address from which the system can get
updated time information.
Quality of Service.
Used to define which
priority audio, video, data and signaling should
have in the network.
IEEE 802.1X.
The system may be connected
to an IEEE 802.1x LAN network. Supported
802.1x protocols are EAP-MD5, EAP-PEAP and
EAP-TTLS.
