MLDV Series Gas Fireplace

GLASS FRAME REMOVAL

1. Remove access panel by lifting up and out.
. Release three (3) clamps on bottom of fireplace.

3. Tilt glass frame out and lift glass frame up until it clears
hook on top of fireplace.
4. Set glass frame aside.
Each clamp has a quick spring force. When
reinstalling clamps, keep fingers clear.
WARNING
!
NOTE: A mesh glass cover is available for this fireplace.
This cover is recommended to reduce the severity of burns
in case of accidental contact. Refer to the Accessories list
on Page 57.

BRICK INSTALLATION

1. Install the rear brick panel by sliding it over the bracket
fastened to the rear of the firebox.
. Remove the existing screws fastened to the sides of
the firebox toward the tops.
3. Slide the right panel into place and secure the panel
using one of the brackets provided with the kit and one
of the screws removed earlier.
4. Repeat step  for the left panel.

OPTIONAL EYEBROW/CANOPY INSTALLATION

1. Remove glass frame.
. Hold eyebrow/canopy with groove facing up and tabs
for screws facing down. Figure 63
3. Install by placing eyebrow under bottom lip of facing.
Hook bottom lip of facing into groove of eyebrow. Pull
eyebrow forward until it stops. Figure 63
4. Insert self-tapping screws into tabs on bottom of eye-
brow and into sides of facing.
NOTE: Eyebrow/canopy is optional depending upon clear-
ances to combustible mantels and trim. Refer to Page 8.
