4.4 2-Part Body Support

Attach hook and loop on bottom
support to back of top support
Infants 4-5 lbs. (1.8-2.3 kg)
MUST use fully assembled 2 part
body support

Infants over 5 lbs. (2.3 kg) MAY
use fully assembled if their shoulders
are still under the bottom harness
slots. CHECK infants shoulder height
without the bottom support attached,
once infant's shoulders are higher
than bottom slots
, DO NOT use
bottom support .
Rolled towels can be added for
additional support. MAKE SURE
THAT NOTHING INTERFERES
WITH THE HARNESS. Harness must
still be flat and snug against your
child' s shoulders
.
Top support
can be used alone for
a larger infant in bottom 2 sets of
harness slots only
.
To prevent ejection in sudden stop
or crash: shoulder straps must be
threaded through slots and properly
positioned on shoulders. Only use
top body support in bottom 2 sets
harness slots.

4.5 Cold Weather Boot (on certain models, styles vary)
Some models come with a cold
weather boot. To use, wrap elastic
around bottom of seat and attach
both elastic loops around vehicle belt
hooks as shown
.
4.6 Harness Covers (on certain models, styles vary)
To prevent ejection in sudden stop or crash:
Always make sure shoulder straps are
threaded through slots and properly
positioned on shoulders.
Make sure that harness covers do not
interfere with placement of the chest clip at
armpit level.
