4. One-Touch Focus: Use the one-touch focus button to automatically focus
the lens based on the detail within the blue focus window.
5. Focus Window: The video preview window will have a blue focus window
positioned in the center of the video image. The camera will use the window
to set the lens focus. If there are objects close to the camera, the lens could
focus on those objects. As a result, objects far from the camera will be out of
focus. If this happens, re-size or move the position of the blue focus window
to allow the lens to focus on the complete scene when using the one-touch
focus.
6. Reset Window: The blue focus window is restored to the factory default
position. The default focus window position is the center area of the video
image.
7. Zoom / Focus Position Information: The zoom / focus position information
window provides the following status to the user. See Image 14.2.
a. Focus Status: Indicates if the lens is currently in focus or out of focus.
b. Current Focus Position: Indicates the current position of the lens within the
available focus range.
c. Focus Position Range: The focus range of the lens. The lower number of the
range indicates focus far, and the larger number of the range indicates focus
near.
d. Zoom Position: Indicates the current position of the lens zoom within the
available range.
e. Zoom Position Range: The zoom range of the lens. The lower number
indicates telephoto field-of-view, and the higher number indicates a wide
field-of-view.
