Delay Time

Delay Time
1
Press the SETUP button (on AMP ADVANCED page) as many
times as necessary to display "DELAY".
2
Press the arrowhead buttons (g/t) to enter a time.
When you adjust the delay time in the Dolby Digital mode, an
additional 10 mS is automatically added to the surround channels
in the Dolby Pro Logic II Movie mode. The current setting is shown
on the display.
Delay Time Setting
Adjustable Range
DOLBY DIGITAL Mode
0 – 15 mS in 1 mS step (S-Delay)
0 – 5 mS in 1 mS step (C-Delay)
DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC Mode:
0 – 15 mS in 1 mS step (S-Delay)
DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE Mode:
10 – 25 mS in 1 mS step (S-Delay)
Ideally all your speakers would be placed at the same distance
from the listening position. If circumstances don't allow this
arrangement, you can compensate for inconsistencies in distance
by setting delay times, so that audio signals reach all the speakers
at the right time.
A rough rule of thumb: a speaker virtually moves away about 30
cm with an increase of 1 mS in delay time setting.
