Press the ADJUST buttons to change the Subwoofer
setting.
SUB W-Y (Subwoofer-Yes):
Select this when a powered sub-woofer is connected.
SUB W-N (Subwoofer-No):
Select this when no sub-woofer is connected.
If the front speaker is set to "FS(small)", you cannot select
"No".
< To enjoy the full home theater experience, we recommend
the use of a powered sub-woofer.

Within 8 seconds, press the MEMORY button.
The Subwoofer setting is memorized.
Be sure to press the MEMORY button, or the changes will be
cancelled.
Checking the Speaker Setting
Press the SPEAKER MODE button repeatedly to display the
current speaker setting.
Speaker Configuration (Delay Time)
If the speakers cannot be placed at the same distance from
your listening position, adjust the delay time to improve the
surround effect.
< The delay time works only when the surround mode is set to
Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II or Dolby Pro Logic.
< When no action is taken for 5 seconds, the delay time mode
will be cancelled.

Make sure the surround mode is set to Dolby Digital,
Dolby Pro Logic II or Dolby Pro Logic (see page 20).

Press the D.TIME button of the remote control unit to
select "CENTER" or "REAR".
"CENTER" (the delay time for the center speaker) is available
only during playback of a DVD recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1
format.

Change the setting using the ADJUST button of the
remote control unit.
Adjustable range
CENTER: 0 ms (OFF) to 5 ms
REAR: 0 ms (OFF) to 15 ms in 5 ms steps
When the surround mode is set to Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby
Pro Logic II MOVIE, 10 ms is automatically added to the REAR

delay time.

The delay time of 1 ms corresponds to 30 cm.
For example, if the center (or rear) speaker is closer to the
listening position than the front speakers by about 150 cm,
set the CENTER to 5 ms.
In Dolby Digital mode, repeat step
other setting.

When all the configurations have been finished, leave
the unit idle for 5 seconds to exit the delay time mode.
< The delay time for the front speaker and the subwoofer isn't
available.
< Delay time setting will not work properly when the center or
surround speaker is farther than others.
