17.1.3 802.1x
The IEEE 802.1x standards outline enhanced security methods for both the authentication of wireless
stations and encryption key management.
Follow the steps below to enable EAP authentication on your ZyAIR.
Step 1. From the main menu, enter 23 to display Menu23 – System Security.
Step 2. Enter 4 to display Menu 23.4 – System Security – IEEE802.1x.
System Security
The default port of the RADIUS server for accounting is 1813.
You need not change this value unless your network administrator
instructs you to do so with additional information.
Specify a password (up to 31 alphanumeric characters) as the key
to be shared between the external accounting server and the
access points.
The key is not sent over the network. This key must be the same
on the external accounting server and ZyAIR.
