CDs

This unit can play CD-DA (digital audio) format audio
CD-R and CD-RW that have been finalized (a process
that enables CD-R/CD-RW players to play audio CD-R
and CD-RW) upon completion of recording.
It may not be able to play some CD-R or CD-RW due to the
condition of the recording.

Press [POWER y y y y y / I] to turn the unit on.

Press [STOP L] to select the CD mode.
Every time you press the button:
TAPE

Press [OPEN/CLOSE c] to open the tray,
load a CD, and press [OPEN/CLOSE c] to
close the tray.

Press [CD -/ J] to start play.
Plays to the end of the CD and stops.

Adjust the volume.
To stop the disc
Press [STOP L].
To pause play
Press [CD -/J]. Press [CD -/ J] again to resume play.
Skipping tracks
Press [g/REW/ 4 4 4 4 4 ] (backward) or [3 3 3 3 3 /FF/ f] (forward).
Searching through tracks
During play or pause
Press and hold [g/REW/ 4 4 4 4 4 ] (backward) or [3 3 3 3 3 /FF/ f]
(forward).
One touch play
When a CD is loaded and the unit is off, press [CD -/ J].
The unit comes on and starts play.
To remove a CD
Press [OPEN/CLOSE c].
Note
• During random play (\ page 13), you cannot skip to
tracks which have already been played.
• During program play (\ page 14), or random play, you
cannot search forward or backward over tracks.
• During program play, skipping is always in the
programmed order, whether forward or backward.
• Program play cannot be used in combination with random
play.

With this system, you can only play CDs having this mark.

Do not;
• use irregularly shaped CDs. (

• attach extra labels and stickers.
• use discs with labels and stickers that are coming off or
with adhesive exuding from under labels and stickers. (
• attach scratch-proof covers or any other kind of
accessory.
• write anything on the CD.
• clean CDs with liquids. (Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.)
• use CDs printed with label printers available on the mar-
ket.
