EffectiveSeptember1,005replacesallundatedWarrantiesandallWarrantiesdatedbeforeSeptember1,005
Briggs&StrattonPowerProductsGroup,LLCwillrepairorreplace,freeofcharge,anypart(s)oftheequipmentthatisdefectiveinmaterialor
workmanshiporboth.Transportationchargesonproductsubmittedforrepairorreplacementunderthiswarrantymustbebornebypurchaser.This
warrantyiseffectiveforthetimeperiodsandsubjecttotheconditionsstatedbelow.Forwarrantyservice,findthenearestAuthorizedServiceDealerin
ourdealerlocatormapatBRIGGSandSTRATTON.COM.
THEREISNOOTHEREXPRESSWARRANTY.IMPLIEDWARRANTIES,INCLUDINGTHOSEOFMERCHANTABILITYANDFITNESSFORAPARTICULAR
PURPOSE,ARELIMITEDTOONEYEARFROMPURCHASE,ORTOTHEEXTENTPERMITTEDBYLAW.ANYANDALLIMPLIEDWARRANTIESARE
EXCLUDED.LIABILITYFORINCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGESAREEXCLUDEDTOTHEEXTENTEXCLUSIONISPERMITTEDBYLAW.Some
statesorcountriesdonotallowlimitationsonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylasts,andsomestatesorcountriesdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitation
ofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,sotheabovelimitationandexclusionmaynotapplytoyou.Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrightsand
youmayalsohaveotherrightswhichvaryfromstatetostateorcountrytocountry.
WARRANTY PERIOD
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedateofpurchasebythefirstretailconsumerorcommercialenduser,andcontinuesfortheperiodoftimestatedinthe
tableabove."Consumeruse"meanspersonalresidentialhouseholdusebyaretailconsumer."Commercialuse"meansallotheruses,includingusefor
commercial,incomeproducingorrentalpurposes.Onceequipmenthasexperiencedcommercialuse,itshallthereafterbeconsideredascommercialusefor
purposesofthiswarranty.
NOWARRANTYREGISTRATIONISNECESSARYTOOBTAINWARRANTYONBRIGGS&STRATTONPRODUCTS.SAVEYOURPROOFOFPURCHASE
RECEIPT.IFYOUDONOTPROVIDEPROOFOFTHEINITIALPURCHASEDATEATTHETIMEWARRANTYSERVICEISREQUESTED,THEMANUFACTURING
DATEOFTHEPRODUCTWILLBEUSEDTODETERMINETHEWARRANTYPERIOD.
ABOUT YOUR WARRANTY
Wewelcomewarrantyrepairandapologizetoyouforbeinginconvenienced.AnyAuthorizedServiceDealermayperformwarrantyrepairs.Mostwarranty
repairsarehandledroutinely,butsometimesrequestsforwarrantyservicemaynotbeappropriate.Forexample,warrantyservicewouldnotapplyif
equipmentdamageoccurredbecauseofmisuse,lackofroutinemaintenance,shipping,handling,warehousingorimproperinstallation.Similarly,the
warrantyisvoidifthemanufacturingdateortheserialnumberontheequipmenthasbeenremovedortheequipmenthasbeenalteredormodified.During
thewarrantyperiod,theAuthorizedServiceDealer,atitsoption,willrepairorreplaceanypartthat,uponexamination,isfoundtobedefectiveundernormal
useandservice.Thiswarrantywillnotcoverthefollowingrepairsandequipment:
• NormalWear:OutdoorPowerEquipmentandengines,likeallmechanicaldevices,needsperiodicpartsandservicetoperformwell.Thiswarrantydoes
notcoverrepairwhennormalusehasexhaustedthelifeofapartortheequipment.
• InstallationandMaintenance:Thiswarrantydoesnotapplytoequipmentorpartsthathavebeensubjectedtoimproperorunauthorizedinstallationor
alterationandmodification,misuse,negligence,accident,overloading,overspeeding,impropermaintenance,repairorstoragesoas,inourjudgment,
toadverselyaffectitsperformanceandreliability.Thiswarrantyalsodoesnotcovernormalmaintenancesuchasadjustments,fuelsystemcleaning
andobstruction(duetochemical,dirt,carbon,lime,etc.).
• OtherExclusions:Thiswarrantyexcludeswearitemssuchasoilgauges,batteries,o-rings,filters,fuses,sparkplugs,etc.,ordamageormalfunctions
resultingfromaccidents,abuse,modifications,alterations,orimproperservicingorfreezingorchemicaldeterioration.Accessorypartsareexcluded
fromtheproductwarranty.ThiswarrantyexcludesfailuresduetoactsofGodandotherforcemajeureeventsbeyondthemanufacturerscontrol.Also
excludedisused,reconditioned,anddemonstrationequipment;equipmentusedforprimepowerinplaceofutilitypowerandequipmentusedinlife
supportapplications.
