NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface
(such as the back panel) on the computer.
 Removing the Speakers
 
1. Follow the instructions in
Before You
 
2. Press and eject any installed cards from the ExpressCard slot and the 8-in-1 memory card reader.
 
3. Remove any installed memory modules and Mini-Cards (see

5. Remove the four speaker screws (two on each speaker) from the computer base.

6. Remove the palm rest (see
 
7. Make note of the speaker cable routing.
 
8. Remove the speakers and the cable.
 Replacing the Speakers
 
1. Replace the speakers and the speaker cable.
 
2. Connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
 
3. Replace the four speaker screws (two on each speaker) that secure the speakers to the palm rest.
 
4. Replace the palm rest (see

6. Reinstall the memory modules and Mini-Cards, if any.
 
7. Reinstall any removed cards in the ExpressCard and 8-in-1 card slots.
