Using the media gauge, make sure the left and right edges of the media on the take-up and feed
sides are aligned.
This is done in order to make sure the media is loaded so that it lies straight.
Media gauge
As shown in the figure, place on the feed-
out side of the roll media, the feed dancer
roller, and the paper pipe, and make sure
the media is loaded straight.
Orient with the scale at
the bottom.

Take-up dancer roller
Set the orientation for automatic feed and au-
tomatic take-up.

Bring this surface into
contact with the side of
the roll.
Paper pipe
Orient with the scale at
the top.
Set the AUTO switch off.
Switch on the power.
Set the AUTO switches for the feed and
take-up units.
