INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
CALIBRATION
The first time you plug the treadmill into the power outlet and turn the power switch/circuit breaker ON, you must
complete the required calibration. The treadmill will not function until you complete the calibration process. Please
follow the steps below to calibrate your treadmill upon the first power up. After the calibration procedure has completed
verify that the walking belt is centered on the deck. If not, refer to the Maintenance section in this manual to adjust belt
tension and tracking. At any time, you may recalibrate the treadmill by following all of the steps below.
Calibration Procedure
The Nautilus® Sport Series treadmill must be calibrated before use.
DO NOT STEP ON THE WALKING BELT DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS.
TO CALIBRATE:
Step 1: Plug the machine into an outlet and turn on the power (the power switch will be lighted when in the "ON"
position).
Step 2: Insert the Safety Key into the magnetic holder below the console display.
Step 3: Stand on the side foot rails or rubber fl oor mat, DO NOT STAND ON THE WALKING BELT.
Step 4: Press and hold the INCLINE UP then INCLINE DOWN buttons simultaneously for four seconds until the console
display shows "Press Start to run Calibration".
Step 5: Press the START button. This will begin the calibration process.
NOTE: During the calibration procedure, the walking belt will start and stop and the displays will show various
numbers that relate to calibration - DO NOT INTERRUPT CALIBRATION.
Step 6: At the end of the Calibration Procedure the display will show "CAL PASS". Press STOP key to exit.
NOTE: If the machine does not display "CAL PASS". Attempt the calibration procedure once more. If it still does
not display "CAL PASS" after the second attempt, contact your dealer or Nautilus Customer Service at:
41-26-460-77-77.
When the Nautilus® Sport Series treadmill has completed calibration, you may begin your workout.
