Setting up your TV
Do not turn the TV off in the following
cases.
• when recording images from an external
device connected to the TV (for example
a camcorder)
• when recording a TV channel after it has
been unscrambled on a decoder
• when recording a TV channel by using the
TV's output because the VCR's own
tuner cannot properly receive that
channel.
• when recording Digital terrestrial
broadcasting (DVB-T).
If you change channels or perform
other operations while a Digital
terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T)
channel is being recorded, a window
appears asking whether to stop the
recording.
Press the a button to stop the
recording, or the
continue the recording.
When the VCR is not ready, the following
messages are displayed.
ERROR Cause and
MESSAGE countermeasure
NO The VCR is not able to
RECORDING record.
Check the VCR.
NO The TV input is set to EXT-4
RECORDING or PC. Since the EXT-4
POSSIBLE picture or PC picture cannot
be output to EXT-2, DIRECT
REC is not possible.
NO The RECORDING DEVICE
RECORDING, is not ready to record. Check
MEDIA the VCR tape.
PROBLEM
NO The RECORDING DEVICE
RECORDING, cannot record as it is
DEVICE BUSY recording or playing. Check
the VCR.
