4. Skew / Registration Adjustments (Scanner Section)

Procedure
(3) Adjust F6-84 as necessary using the steps
outlined below.
(4) If the distance between the left edge of
the paper and the nearest black line is less
than 5 mm input a positive number, using
the chart in the left as a reference.
(5) If the distance between the left edge of
the paper and the nearest black line is
more than 5mm, input a negative number,
using the chart in the left as a reference.
Procedure
NOTE: ADJUSTMENT OF THE CCD UNIT
SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED
IF ALL PRINTER SECTION
ADJUSTMENTS HAVE BEEN
EXHAUSTED.
Image skew adjustment
(1)Scribe the CCD unit before loosening the
front screw.
(2)Loosen the front screw ONLY.
(3)Rotate the unit clockwise if the image skew
is similar to the image in diagram 1 left.
(4)Rotate the unit counterclockwise if the
image skew is similar to the image in
diagram 2 left.
