Email Settings

You can edit general preferences, which apply to all email accounts, or configure settings for specific
email accounts, such as email address and password, name display and signature, frequency of
retrieval, etc.
Edit General Preferences
Settings listed below General settings affect all email accounts.
1. Press
and tap
2. Tap > S ettings to configure settings. Available settings depend on the type of email
account, and may include:
Display:
l
Auto fit content: S hrink email content to fit the screen.

Message preview line: C hoose the number of lines displayed in the email list to give
o
you a preview of an email's contents.
Title line in list: C hoose the title line (in bold for unread messages), to display the
o
sender or the subject.
Composing and sending:
l
Quick responses: C reate and edit text strings that you can add to an email to respond
o
quickly.
Default image size: S et the default size of images you attach to emails.

Delay email sending: D elay the sending of emails so that they can be cancelled if
o
needed. When enabled, a Cancel button will display for a specified time after you tap
Send. If you enable Delay email sending, use the Set length of delay option to choose
how long to delay.
Auto advance: C hoose how the email list displays after you delete or move an email.

Confirm deletions: C hoose whether the phone prompts you to confirm the action when
l
you mark emails for deletion.
Priority senders: M aintain a list of email addresses to ensure that emails from the
l
addresses receive priority handling.
Spam addresses: C reate a list of email addresses and domains, to block emails from these
l
senders.
Rules for filtering: S et filters and manage filtered email.
l
