11. If you have other switch modules to install, do so now; otherwise, go to
step 12.
12. Attach any cables or cords required by the switch module. For the location
of the connectors on the BladeCenter unit, see the BladeCenter Type 8677
Installation and User's Guide on the IBM BladeCenter Documentation CD.
13. Replace the acoustic attenuation module, if you removed it in step 2 on
page 13.

Removing a switch module

Statement 8:
CAUTION:
Never remove the cover on a power supply or any part that has the
following label attached.
Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside any
component that has this label attached. There are no serviceable parts inside
these components. If you suspect a problem with one of these parts, contact
a service technician.
Complete the following steps to remove a switch module.
1. Remove the acoustic attenuation module, if installed, from the rear of the
BladeCenter unit (see step 2 on page 13 for location).
2. Select an appropriate switch-module bay from which to remove a switch
module, in accordance with the instructions in "Ethernet interface
requirements" on page 9.
3. Unplug any cables from the selected switch module.
4. Pull the release latch toward the bottom of the switch module as shown in
the illustration. The module moves out of the bay about 0.64 cm (0.25 inch).
