The side airbag system is triggered
in the event of an accident of a
certain severity. The ignition must be
ON.

The risk of injury to the thorax and
pelvis in the event of a side-on
collision is considerably reduced.
Keep the area in which the airbag
inflates clear of obstructions.

Note
Only use protective seat covers
that have been approved for your
vehicle. Be careful not to cover the
airbags.

Children who are seated in close
proximity to a side airbag may be
at risk of serious or fatal injury if the
airbag deploys, especially if the
child's head, neck, or chest is close
to the airbag at the time of
deployment.
Never let your child lean on the
door or close to the side airbag
module.
