Basic operations
The mode dial switches the function which is used for recording, playback, or
editing. Set the dial as follows before starting to operate your camera.

To record still images in TWILIGHT mode (pages 19, 54)

To record still images, VOICE mode audio data
(pages 19,56)

To play back or edit images (pages 26, 29,71)

To record moving images or Clip Motion images

How to use the control
button
When the menu is not displayed
The control button is used to perform the following operations.
$ (A): Recording with flash (page 24)
0 (v): Recording with self-timer (pages 24, 27)
bB Q (4): Checking the last recorded image (page 22)
,& (F): Recording close subjects (macro recording) (page 61)
When the menu or setup

is displayed
The control button is used to select the buttons, images and menu items displaved on
the LCD screen of your camera and modify the settings.
