To lower the engine hatch:
1. Raise the hatch slightly and remove the prop
rod from its holder. Gently lay it on the deck.
Do not allow it to just drop on the deck.
2. Press the engine hatch switch or manually lower
the engine hatch to its closed position.
3. Replace and secure all fill-in cushions and close
the portside cockpit cooler cushion.
NOTICE
Cushions, if not properly stored and secured,
can blow out of the boat.
If closing the engine hatch manually, do not
allow the engine hatch to “slam” shut. Allowing
the engine hatch to “slam” shut can damage
the fiberglass and/or cause bodily injury.
H. Sundecks
A sundeck is available on the 210 Horizon - 265
Sundowner models. The sundeck is installed on the
top of the engine hatch. The sundeck in conjunction
with sundeck fill-in cushion runs the entire width (beam)
of the boat and can be used for sunbathing. See Figure
N6.

Sundeck Fill-In Cushion

The sundeck fill-in cushion extends the sundeck over
the transom entry area. It provides the necessary space
required for sunny in comfort. Simply remove the stan-
dard fill-in cushions for easy access to the swim plat-
form. Ensure to properly seat and lock the cushion in
place during boating. A barrel bolt is located under the
cushion for securing purposes. See Figure N6.
J. L-Step Fill-In Cushion
This L-step cushion fill-in extends the seating area of
the center cockpit cushion. Cleats have been attached
to the bottom of the cushion and fit into recessed areas
to lock in place. Removal of this cushion and the
sundeck fill-in provide easy entry and existing of the
boat at the transom. See Figure N6.
When traveling at highway speeds, be sure the
fill-in cushions are properly secured (locked in
position). Air currents (created within the inte-
rior when traveling) will lift the cushions up and
out of the boat under certain conditions; espe-
cially when semi-trucks or other large vehicles
pass by.
K. Center Cockpit Cushion
The center cockpit cushion is installed on the engine
hatch and provides comfortable seating for your pas-
Center Cockpit
sengers. By simply lifting up and out on the center cock-
Cushion
pit cushion, minimum access can be gained to the en-
gine compartment for a quick inspection of such things
as the hour meter. See Figure N6.
L. Port Cockpit Cushion
The port cockpit cushion again provides more seating
space for your passengers. Located under this cush-
ion is the 36 quart carry-on cooler. To gain access to
the cooler, towards the aft end of the cushion place
your hand and lift up. The forward end of the cushion is
hinged and a hydraulic gas shock will assist you and
keep the cushion in place while you retrieve your cooler.
Port Cockpit
The cushion must also be in the raised position during
Cushion
the raising and lowering of the engine hatch. See Fig-
ures N6 & N7.
