Removing the Processor Heat Sink
1. Follow the instructions in "Before You Be in" on pa e
2. Remove the battery pack (see "Removin the Battery Pack" on pa e
3. Remove the center control cover (see "Removin the Center Control Cover"
on pa e 33).
4. Remove the keyboard (see "Removin the Keyboard" on pa e
5. Remove the palm rest (see "Removin the Palm Rest" on pa e
6. Remove the left and ri ht brackets (see "Removin the Brackets" on
pa e 47).
7. Remove the ma nesium cover (see "Removin the Ma nesium Cover" on
pa e 50).
8. Loosen the six captive screws that secure the processor heat sink to the
system board.
9. Lift the processor heat sink of the system board.
