Use of the recommended fuel is
an important part of the proper
maintenance of your vehicle.
You should use a high quality fuel
which meets the minimum octane
rating recommended.
Use gasoline with a posted octane
of 95 (research method) or higher.
A middle grade gasoline with
posted octane of 91 or higher can
also be used, but the vehicle's
acceleration may be slightly
reduced.
Note:
You may use either regular
unleaded gasoline or ethanol
fuel up to 85% (E-85).
See "Ethanol (E-85) Fuel"
later in this section for more
information.
The use of gasoline with an octane
rating lower than that recom-
mended may cause engine knock.
Continued use can cause engine
damage and void the warranty.
If you detect a heavy engine knock
even when using a gasoline of the
recommended octane rating, have
the engine checked. Short periods
of engine knock during hill
climbing and acceleration are
acceptable.

covered by your warranty.
