[1] The helicopter ―Advisory Terrain‖ non-TSO function is applicable to main software version 4.xx.
The Advisory Terrain function provides terrain and obstacle aural and visual alerts. For main
software version 4.xx, reference to HTAWs throughout this manual should be considered a reference
to the Advisory Terrain function. For main software version 5.00 or later, the GNS 500W Series
units include HTAWS TSO-C194 (see Table 1-3).
