    Control Unit and Extended Range Receiver The IntelliGuard 7000 con trol unit must be in stalled in side the ve hi cle. Un der no cir cum stances should the unit be in stalled un der the hood or other simi larly hos tile en vi ron ment.

    The IntelliGuard 7000 comes with two ergonomically designed remote controls. Up to two more ACG 2 remote controls can be added to the IntelliGuard 7000 system. Due to the ACG 2 feature on the IntelliGuard Series systems, older Clifford ACG and non-ACG remotes are not compatible with the IntelliGuard 7000.

    1 again to fully exit Piezo Sensor adjustment mode (you will hear 3 chirps). 4. Repeat the preceding steps as required. An improperly adjusted sensor will cause the IntelliGuard 7000 to false alarm or not respond properly to a genuine threat.

    Programmable Features IntelliGuard 7000 comes from the factory with its features preprogrammed as noted in bold text in the tables on pages 10 and 11. Some features can be programmed by the installer or the user, others can only be programmed only by the installer.

    When you hear two chirps, all remote controls will have been erased from the system memory. You must now add NOTE 3: the new and/or existing remote controls to the system (i.e., AutoProgram each remote that will be used with the IntelliGuard 7000). Programs a 4-channel secondary, 16-channel master, or any other remote control from another IntelliGuard NOTE 4: system to arm or disarm the vehicle.

    System Checklist & Troubleshooting The fol low ing check list and trou ble shoot ing tips will as sure that you have in stalled the IntelliGuard 7000 cor rectly. If the sys tem does not re act as noted, fol low the trou ble shoot ing tip(s) de noted with a black box be low that item, then re peat the step. Each suc ces sive step re quires that the pre vious step has been com pleted as in di cated.
  • Page 12 Step 2. Test the Im mo bi li za tion cir cuits. Arm the IntelliGuard 7000 (either from inside or outside the vehicle) and wait 10 seconds. Turn the ignition to the “ON” position. Engine does not respond. This is the correct response, proceed to the immobilization test.
  • Page 13 No flashes. If the LED does not flash, ver ify that the LEDs VIO LET and BLACK wires are sol idly con nected to the same colour wires on the IntelliGuard 7000’s wire loom. Warn ing: This is a 2- volt LED, test ing with 12 volts will de stroy the LED.
  • Page 14 1 of this sec tion. Check the IntelliGuard 7000’s 10- amp fuse. If the fuse blew when you dis armed, the ve hi cle uses a posi tive door trig ger and you con nected the in te rior light sup ply wire to ground in stead of +12 volts. Re place the 10-amp fuse and retest.
  • Page 15 Stand approximately 50 feet from the vehicle and use the remote control to arm and disarm the system. The IntelliGuard 7000 will re spond with the pre vi ously noted in di ca tions for arm ing and dis arm ing. If not: Re po si tion the external receiver as high as possible high up un der the dash, or as high as possible along side the windshield pillar and as far as pos si ble from heavy wire looms and metal.
