WARNING
If when turning the key to
MAR-ON the warning light
¬
does not turn on or if it stays on
when travelling, there could be
a failure in safety systems; in this
event air bags or pretensioners may
not be deployed in case of impact
or, in a minor number of cases, they
could deploy accidentally. Contact
your Ford Dealership immediately
to have the system checked before
driving off.
WARNING
The failure of the warning
light

is indicated by intermittent blinking
for longer than the normal four
seconds of the warning light
that signals front passenger air
bag deactivated.

With the front passenger air bag on,
when the ignition key is moved to
MAR-ON, the warning light
on steadily for a few seconds; then,
it continues to flash for some seconds
and finally goes off.
