Adjustments should be made by your dealer. Your
dealer has the knowledge and tools to properly
perform adjustments which may be required to keep
your equipment operating at peak efficiency. Should
you decide to make the following adjustments on your
unit yourself. Call your dealer for answers to any
questions that might arise.
WARNING: Lower attachment, engage
parking brake, stop engine, remove key,
wait for moving parts to stop before
leaving
operators
attempting to make any adjustments.
Disc Brake (Gear Drive)
The brake was factory set.
Disc Brake is located on lower right side of
transaxle.
To adjust, tighten adjustment nut until it stops.
With wheel off ground, back off until rear wheel
brake drag is eliminated.

Disc Brake (Hydro)
The brake was factory set for a specific running
clearance.
To check for proper setting, place a feeler gage
between the two discs. With clutch/brake pedal
released there should be from 0.015" to 0.025"
clearance. If the clearance is not correct, make
the necessary change with the castellated nut.

Brake Spring
The compression spring shown in figures 16 and
17 should be compressed to the length indicated
with the brake in the on position (Park Brake
Set). This adjustment is made by turning the jam
nut (Figure 16) or the nylon locknut (Figure 17).
Seat
Be sure all controls can be reached safely from
operators position. To adjust seat, see seat in
Operation Section.
