Lubrication and Maintenance (Continued)
The steer ing system, front axle and wheels,
brake/clutch shaft support and pivot points should be
lubricated every 50 hours of operation, or every 3
months, whichever occurs first.
Grease fittings are indicated below. Oil pivot points
on brake, clutch and mower deck linkage as needed.
Hydrostatic transaxles do not have grease fittings.
Rotary Mower Removal (Figure 11)
Place (2) supports approximately 1 1/2" high (the
thickness of a 2" x 4") under the right hand and left
hand side of the mower deck.
Lower the mower deck onto the suppor ts thus
relieving all the mower deck's weight from the
tractor's lift system.
Disconnect the mower rear hangers by pulling the
hair pins out of the tractor mount lugs.
Slide the mower deck forward just enough to remove
the front pin and front lift arms from the tractor front
hooks.
Remove the mower height adjusters from the tractor
lift lever hooks.
Remove the mower belt from the electric clutch.
Turn the front tires all the way to the left (opposite the
mower discharge side).
Remove the supports from underneath the mower
deck. Remove the mower deck by sliding it out
between the tractors right hand front and rear tires.
To install the rotary mower, install in reverse order.
Install the mower belt last.
Rotary Mower Belt Replacement
(Figure 12)
To replace the belt on the mower deck, first remove
mower drive belt per instructions and then disconnect
the idler spring from the spring mount post welded to
the mower deck.
Remove the sheave cover on the left hand sheave.
Remove the old belt from the mower deck and install
the new belt in the reverse order. Be sure that the belt
is seated in all pulley grooves.
