IMPORTANT: When star ting engine, in below
freezing temperatures (32 degrees F or below), in its
disconnect position, allow engine to warm up, then
slowly engage Transmission Disconnect and allow
transmission to warm up before applying load.
To disconnect transmission, pull disconnect
control rod rearward and lock in slot. To engage,
slowly release forward (Figure 2).
Place transmission disconnect in its disconnect
position to push tractor short distances with
engine stopped. After pushing tractor, apply
Parking Brake and engage transmission
disconnect.
Attachment Lift
To raise attachment, (mower deck) depress
thumb button, on attachment lift lever located on
left side of rear deck, raise lever to position and
release button.
To lower mower deck, depress thumb button and
slowly allow lever to move downward until mower
deck is at desired height. Anti-scalp rollers must
be adjusted for desired height. See Adjustment
Section. For other attachments, refer to
Attachment Manual.

Electric PTO
DANGER: Failure of interlock, together
with improper operation of unit, could
result in severe personal injury. Engine
must not start unless Implement Power
is disengaged (Off).
WARNING: Keep hands, feet, hair and
clothing away from rotating parts.
To engage Implement Power, lift switch up to
(On) position to start attachment rotation. To
disengage, push switch down (Off) position to
automatically apply blade brake and stop
attachment rotation.
Light Switch
CAUTION: Operate equipment only with
good visibility and light.
With key in run position, flip light switch forward to
turn headlights on and push switch rearward to turn
them off. (Lights on tractor will not light unless engine
is running, except on tractors with 15 hp and up).
Stopping (Gear Drive)
To stop, depress clutch/brake pedal, move speed
selector to neutral, disengage Implement Power
(Off), lower attachment, engage parking brake
lock and then release pedal.
Lower engine speed to idle, and allow engine to
idle for a few minutes so that engine parts can
cool evenly before shutting engine off.
Turn Ignition Key counterclockwise to stop
engine and remove key.
CAUTION: Remove Ignition Key to
prevent accidental starting or
unauthorized use of tractor.
