DTC P2009
Variable swirl control (VSC) solenoid valve circuit high input
• The PCM monitors the output signal to the variable swirl control solenoid valve. If the voltage of the
variable swirl control solenoid valve is high even if the variable swirl control solenoid valve is on, the PCM
determines that there is a malfunction in the variable swirl control solenoid valve control circuit.
Diagnostic support note
DETECTION
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or
CONDITION
in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
• VSC solenoid valve malfunction
• Short to power supply between VSC solenoid valve terminal B and PCM terminal 101
POSSIBLE
• Connector or terminal malfunction
CAUSE
• PCM malfunction
