Airbag/seat belt pretensioner
warning light
When the ignition switch is turned
to position II, the warning light on
the instrument panel illuminates
for approximately 3 seconds
to indicate that the system is
functional.
If the warning light does not
illuminate, if it stays on or
illuminates intermittently or
continuously while driving, it means
there is a malfunction. Have the
system checked by an expert.
Passenger airbag deactivation
If individual circumstances require
you to fit a child seat/restraint on a
seat protected by an operational
airbag in front of it, your vehicle is
equipped to allow fitting of a
passenger airbag deactivation
switch operated by the ignition key.
Your Ford Dealer will be able to fit
it.
The key switch will be fitted on the
end of the instrument panel with an
airbag deactivation light in the
centre of the instrument panel.
Seating and safety restraints
To use a rear facing child restraint
in the front, make sure that the key
switch is turned to the OFF
position .
