1. Make sure that the cords are plugged in and power supplies are
turned on.
2. Midplane
1. Battery or battery charger failed.
1. Use the storage management software to enable the cache or
there is no data in the cache.

1. Check if host managed hub or switch is on. Replace attached
devices that failed.
2. Ensure that the server whose HBA ports are directly connected to
the DS4300 server host port are power on and that the HBA
driver is installed. Replace the HBA if it failed.

1. Check the ac power source.
2. Reseat all installed power cables and power supplies.
3. Replace defective power cords.
4. Check for a Fault LED on the power supply, and replace the

5. Check to determine if the operating environment temperature is
too hot.

1. Ensure that the fibre channel cables are undamaged and
properly connected.
2. RAID controller

4. Drive expansion enclosures are not powered on or are not
working.
5. Drives are not functional (for example, the drives are bypassed)
