Tilt the top of the NECK-PRO head restraint
cushion forwards in the direction of

Push the NECK-PRO head restraint cushion

it will go.

Firmly push the NECK-PRO head restraint
cushion back in the direction of arrow =
until the cushion engages.

Repeat this procedure for the second
NECK-PRO head restraint.
i Resetting the NECK-PRO head restraints
requires a lot of strength. If you have
difficulty resetting the NECK-PRO head
restraints, have this work carried out at a
qualified specialist workshop.

The PRE-SAFE

Although your vehicle is equipped with a PRE-

SAFE system, the possibility of injury in the
event of an accident cannot be ruled out. You
should therefore always drive carefully and
adapt your driving style to the prevailing road,
weather and traffic conditions.

situations.

PRE-SAFE intervenes:
if BAS intervenes, e.g. in emergency

braking situations
if, on vehicles with DISTRONIC PLUS, BAS
R
PLUS intervenes powerfully
if, on vehicles with DISTRONIC PLUS, the
R
radar sensor system detects an imminent
danger of collision in certain situations
in critical driving situations, e.g. when
R
physical limits are exceeded and the
vehicle understeers or oversteers severely

PRE-SAFE takes the following measures
depending on the hazardous situation
detected:
the front seat belts are pre-tensioned.
R
the front-passenger seat is adjusted if it is
R
in an unfavorable position.
the air pressure in the side bolsters of the
R
seat cushion and seat backrest of the front
multicontour seats is increased.
Coupe: if the vehicle skids, the panorama
R
roof with power tilt/sliding panel and the
front side windows are closed so that only
a small gap remains.
Cabriolet: if the vehicle skids, the front side
R
windows are closed so that only a small gap
remains.
If the hazardous situation passes without
resulting in an accident, PRE-SAFE
the belt pretensioning. The air pressure in the
side bolsters on the multicontour seat is
reduced again. All settings made by PRE-
®
SAFE can then be reversed.
