3.2 SCANNER UNIT
Set the safety switch (S I0 I) of the Scanner Unit to OFF before working on the
radar.
3.2.1 Radome
Wipe the surface of the Radome with a clean, soft cloth. Check that there is no paint,
dirt or caked salt. A heavy deposit of dirt or caked salt on a painted surface of
upper Radome will cause a considerable drop in the radar performance.
Don't use any chemical cleaners except alcohol.
3.2.2 Lubrication
Locate main drive gear, clean away old lubrication residue and dirt. Using a spatula,
apply a light coating of grease (MOBILUX Grease No.2 Mobil Oil Company or equivalent)
on the gear of the main shaft and the drive motor.
Lubrication should be done every six months.

3.2.3 Mounting
Check the mounting bolts of the Scanner Unit and tighten if necessary.
