11.04 Lubricating the sewing head

Switch off the machine!
Unscrew the sewing head cover twice a
week and oil all of the bearings and
sliding surfaces marked in Fig. 11-04.
Replace the sewing head cover.

Only use oil with a mean viscos~ty of 22.0 rnrn2/s at 40°C and a density of
0.865 g/crn3 at 15"C!
We recommend PFAFF sewing machine oil. Part no. 280-1 -1 20 144

11.05 Lubricating the hook

Switch off the machine!
Remove the bobbin case and squeeze
1 to 2 drops of oil into the hook race
(Fig. 11-06) daily.
Re-insert the bobbin case.
