Error
Several different malfunctions can be found from the same symptom.
Therefore, follow the check points in the order shown in this chapter, and
perform proper repair service.

Before disassembling the camera, make sure that
batteries are removed or the AC adapter is disconnected
from the plug.

Electrolytic capacitor (C5412) mounted on the PW1 Board
is for flash emission. This capacitor is charged
automatically every time the power is turned on. Since
there is a possibility of getting electric shock during the
service operation, discharge the electricity by using the
cement resistance if you need to touch the capacitor for
repair service (see Chapter 4 "Disassembly and
Assembly" for details).

3.2.1 Camera Has No Power

Overview
If the 8-bit micro processor, which controls User I/F,
located on the SY1 Board has a problem, the signal
necessary to generate the various digital and analog
power source will not be generated. As a result, the
camera goes into "No Power" state.
Also, since this 8-bit micro processor performs serial
communication with the main CPU on the CA2 Board, if
trouble occurs on the CA2 Board, the same symptom as
above will appear.
