Indicator (ABS) (CB1000RA)

This indicator normally illuminates when the
ignition switch is set to ON and is extinguished
when the motorcycle is ridden at a speed of
more than 10 km/h (6 mph).If there is a
problem with the ABS system, this light flashes
and remains on. When the indicator light is
illuminated the ABS system is not operative.
If the ABS indicator illuminates while
travelling, stop the motorcycle in a safe place
and switch off the engine.
Return the ignition switch to ON. The indicator
should illuminate and then switch off after the
motorcycle has been ridden at a speed of
more than 10 km/h (6 mph). If the indicator
fails to switch off, this means the ABS system
is not working, although the normal braking
system will continue to work and supply the
normal stopping power. In these conditions
however the system should be checked over
by an authorized Honda dealer as soon as
possible.

The ABS indicator may illuminate if the rear
wheel is driven at high speed for more than 30
seconds when the motorcycle is upright on
the suitable support. This reaction is perfectly
normal. Set the ignition switch to OFF and
then return it to ON. The indicator light should
illuminate and then switch off after the
motorcycle has been ridden at a speed of
more than 30 km/h (19 mph).
