Changing the oil requires a torque wrench. If
you do not have it and the necessary skill, we
recommend that you have your Honda dealer
perform this service.
If a torque wrench is not used for this
installation, see your Honda dealer as soon as
possible to verify proper assembly.
FRONT
(1)
(1) drain bolt (down tube)
(2) drain bolt (left crankcase)
LEFT SIDE

Drain the Engine Oil:
1.
Park your motorcycle on a firm, level
surface.
2.
If the engine is cold, start it and let it idle for
3-5 minutes. Turn the engine off. Wait 2-3
minutes for the oil to settle.
3.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick from the
top of the frame.
4.
Place a drain pan under the crankcase.
5.
Remove the oil drain bolt ( ) on the down
tube, and the drain bolt ( ) on the left
crankcase.
6.
After the oil has drained, check the sealing
washers on the drain bolts. Replace, if
necessary.
