Low-Pass Filter for the LFE Channel
This setting is not set automatically by the Automatic
Speaker Setup function (see page 38).
With this setting, you can specify the cutoff frequency of
the LFE channel's low-pass filter (LPF), which can be
used to filter out unwanted hum. The LPF only applies to
sources that use the LFE channel.
*If you are using THX-certified speakers, select 80 Hz (THX).

buttons to select "g.LPF of LFE,"
and then use the Left and Right
[
]/[
] buttons to select a low-
pass filter frequency.
The following low-pass filter frequen-
cies can be selected: 80 Hz (THX)
(default), 90 Hz, 100 Hz, 110 Hz, or
120 Hz.
Continue with step 11 below.
Subwoofer Mode
This setting is not set automatically by the Automatic
Speaker Setup function (see page 38).
With this setting, you can boost bass output by feeding
front left and right channel bass sounds to the subwoofer.
This setting can only be made if the Subwoofer setting in
step 4 is set to Yes, and the Front setting in step 5 is set
to Full Band.
*If you are using THX-certified speakers, select LFE only
(THX).

Mode," and then use the Left and
Right [
]/[
LFE only (THX): The subwoofer only
outputs the LFE channel.
Double Bass: In addition to LFE chan-
nel sounds, the subwoofer outputs front
left and right channel bass sounds.

receiver by using its [Setup] button, arrow buttons, and
[Enter] button.
