DYNAMIC GUIDANCE WITH TMC
Dynamic guidance with TMC *
With the RDS-TMC (Traffic Message Channel) the actual traffic situation on your route
is taken into consideration for guidance. So you will be informed about all traffic
obstructions covered by TMC and occurring on your route ahead.
When you get closer to the obstruction the "Detour" option becomes active and the
navigation system plans a detour if you wish to take it.
TMC is not yet implemented in all countries and is not supported by all RDS
broadcasters.
To ensure dynamic guidance with TMC the inserted map CD has to support the TMC
function. We recommend to always use of the latest map CDs.
TMC voice messages
If TMC information is received, all TMC announcements ahead on your route will be
announced by voice messages.
Repeating a TMC voice message
Push the REP key on the remote control.
or:
select "Repeat" in the guidance screen.

You hear the actual guidance advice and the latest TMC announcement.
TMC traffic information in the guidance screen
If a traffic obstruction is ahead on your route, this
obstruction will be announced by information in the
top line of the guidance screen.
When you are far away from the obstruction, the
distance to the obstruction and the type of the
obstruction are shown.
You can find details of the obstruction in
info screen i6 "Traffic info".
As soon as you move closer to the obstruction, the
detour option becomes active. The cursor then
automatically jumps into the top line of the guidance
screen.
