Using File Link

The File Link feature is not currently supported with the Franklin
Covey release of the Palm IIIe electronic organizer. However, Franklin
Covey expects to support File Link in a future release of Franklin
Planner software that comes with the Palm IIIe organizer.
You can stay informed about developments in this area by visiting our

Future release of the File Link feature with the Palm IIIe will enable
you to synchronize the Address Book and Memo Pad information on
your Palm IIIe organizer with a separate external file such as a
company phone list. HotSync Manager stores the data in a separate
category in the File Link application and your Palm IIIe organizer.
You can configure the File Link feature to check for changes to the
external file when you perform a HotSync operation.
With File Link you will be able to synchronize with data stored in any
of the following formats:
Comma-separated (*.csv)
Tab delimited (.tsv)
Memo Pad archive (*.mpa)
Address Book archive (*.aba)
Text (*.txt)
Note: There is a File Link option that appears in the HotSync
Manager menu. If you choose the File Link option, however,
you will receive an error message that the File Link option is
not currently supported.

Creating a user profile

The User Profile feature is not currently supported with the Franklin
Covey release of the Palm IIIe electronic organizer. However, Franklin
Covey expects to support User Profiles in a future release of the
