Live Streaming
Before live stream digital TV programs for playback, please make sure you have installed VLC media player on
your local computer.
To live stream digital TV programs:
1 Click the TV Recording
2 Select a channel whose program you want to stream from the channel list on the left panel, click the program
which is currently broadcasting in the main area, and click
3 A pop-up window will appear asking you to click the Live Stream icon at the top-right corner to open the
streaming URL. Click
4 Click the Live Stream icon as instructed. In the window that appears, copy and paste the
VLC player for playback. You may be required to enter user credentials for authentication when launching the
streaming service.
Note: DSM admin or users belonging to the administrators group can configure port forwarding rules by specifying
the destination port as 9006 for DiskStation users, allowing them to access your DiskStation over the Internet. For
more information about port forwarding, open
Router Configuration.
