The Settings section allows you to adjust many of the functions of the Tablet 7. The following
are some of the available sections and features that you can view and/or modify:
Under "Wireless and Networks" Menu
• Wi-Fi Turn Wi-Fi ON/OFF : Shows available Wi-Fi signals and allows for establishing
connectivity. To conserve tablet battery power, keep Wi-Fi set to OFF or set the tablet to
Airplane mode (in "More" section below).
• Data usage: A convenient tool for viewing the amount of data transferred to/from the
tablet.
• More: Airplane Mode, Ethernet, VPN, Portable hotspot, Mobile Networks, 3G Support.
Under "Devices" Menu
• Sound: Adjust tablet volume controls for tablet sounds and notifications.
• Display: Adjust the Brightness, Auto-rotation, Sleep duration and Font size. You can
customize wallpaper backgrounds. Unless otherwise set, the tablet will go to sleep, and
automatically lock, after a preset period of time. The tablet can be set to sleep after 15
seconds to 30 minutes of inactivity, or not at all. The screen lock is determined by the
Screen Security setting. To conserve tablet battery power, set the display brightness and
sleep functions at reasonable levels.
• Storage: Show the total amount of memory available in the tablet for data (e.g., apps,
pictures.).
• Battery: Shows battery usage over time, giving an estimate on how much battery power
is available (as a time interval). The status of the internal battery (charging/discharging
state) and level (a percentage of a fully charged battery) are displayed at the top of
the screen. There is a discharge graph that shows battery level over time since its last
recharged and the length of time that it has been operating on battery power.
• Apps: Shows a list of apps that have been downloaded, are currently running, or are
located on a separate device (such as a memory card). It displays the total amount of
internal storage available.
Under "Personal" Menu
• Location Access: Allows Google to determine your location using Wi-Fi, and to base any
searches off that location.
• Security: The Tablet 7 comes with several security methods for unlocking the tablet,
encrypting data, and other security functions. You may set locks with a higher strength
level using this lock setting. When screen security is active, the tablet will lock after the
