Setting Up Your Device

Install the battery.
Remove the battery from its
packaging.
Press and hold the back cover
latch with your thumbnail and
slide the cover down with the
other thumb to remove the
cover.

Insert the battery into the
opening on the back of the
device, making sure the
connectors align. Gently press
down to secure the battery.
Position the back cover over
the battery compartment,
making sure the locking tabs
align. Gently slide the cover
upward with your thumbs until
you hear a slight click.

Press and hold to turn the device on.
If your device is activated, it will turn on, search for service,
and enter standby mode.
If your device is not yet activated, see "Activating Your
Device" on page 3 for more information.
