Setting Roam Mode

Your device allows you to control your roaming capabilities. By
using the Roaming menu option, you can determine which signals
your device accepts.
Choose from two different settings on your device to control your
roaming experience.
1.
From the Home screen, touch

Call settings

Select an option:
to access only the home network and prevent

roaming on other networks.

network service is unavailable, the device searches for an
alternate service.

Call Guard

Your device has two ways of alerting you when you are roaming
off the home network: the onscreen roaming icon and Call Guard.
Call Guard makes it easy to manage your roaming by requiring an
extra step before you can place or answer a roaming call. (This
additional step is not required when you make or receive calls
while on the home network.)

To turn Call Guard on or off:

Call Guard is turned on by default on your device.
To place roaming calls with Call Guard on:

From standby mode, touch the area code followed by the
seven-digit number and touch

To answer incoming roaming calls with Call Guard on:
