When the battery level drops to 10%, the LED indicator begins
flashing red. When the battery level drops below 5%, the battery
icon changes to
and a pop-up window warns you that the
battery is low. When the battery level drops to approximately 1%,
the device shuts down.
Note:
Long backlight settings, searching for service, vibrate mode,
browser use, and other variables may reduce the battery's
talk and standby times.
Tip:
Watch your device's battery level indicator and charge the
battery before it runs out of power.

Installing the Battery

See "Setting Up Your Device" on page 2.

Removing the Battery

Make sure the device is off so that you do not lose any
stored numbers or messages.

Press and hold the back cover latch
with your thumbnail and slide the cover
down with the other thumb to remove
the cover.

Lift the battery up and remove it from
the device.
Tip:
Hook your fingernail under the tab at the top left side of the
battery to facilitate removal.
WARNING:
Do not handle a damaged or leaking Li-Ion battery as
you can be burned.

Charging the Battery

Keeping track of your battery's charge is important. If your battery
level becomes too low, your device automatically turns off, and
you will lose any information you were just working on.
Always use a Kyocera-approved desktop charger, travel charger,
or vehicle power adapter to charge your battery.
Plug the flat end of the charger into
the device's charger/accessory jack
and the other end into an electrical
outlet.
