How to install the DEFINITY
After you have programmed passwords for the Standalone Switch
Module, you can physically install it. Installing the Standalone
Switch Module involves choosing a proper location and connecting
the LINE, PORT, and power cords.
Installing the Multi-Mount Rack also involves choosing a proper
location and connecting the power cord. But the Administration Port
is a 9DB port going to a computer, and the LINE port is replaced by
a 50-pin Amphenol connector. The system administrator must
supply the required data cable and the 25-pair Amphenol cable.
NOTE:
The Multi-Mount Rack and the Rack-Mount Modules must be
installed before you can program the Rack-Mount Modules.
